4. GLC WEEKLY LISTSERV SUBSCRIPTION UPDATE
The listserv subscription will be updated in late August based on fall 2019 enrollment. At that time all students who have graduated in the spring or summer will be removed from the list. If you would like to remove yourself before that time, you may unsubscribe by logging into google.com, groups, your groups, and changing your subscription status for this or any other VT-managed list.

5. GRADUATE SCHOOL SUMMER HOURS STARTING 5/20
The Graduate School’s offices in the GLC will operate with summer hours, 9:00am-4:00pm daily, with student services opening at 9:30 on Wednesdays. Immigration walk-in advising hours in the summer are MWF 1:00-4:00pm, TTh 9:00am-12:00pm. The Graduate Life Center remains accessible 24/7 to all graduate students with a valid Hokie Passport. A secure drop box is available for form submissions immediately outside GLC 120.

Adult Day Services in the Department of Human Development and Family Sciences is hiring a Graduate Research Assistant for the JC Gordon Graduate Research Student Summer Internship 2019. Proficiency with SPSS and ability to be onsite for work is necessary. Intern will maintain the outcomes data set, complete system exports and clean & analyze data with opportunities to explore own line of inquiry. 9. PEACE CORPS CAMPUS RECRUITER GRADUATE ASSISTANTSHIP – 3rd posting
The Center for International Research, Education, and Development (CIRED) at VT is searching for a graduate student who is a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer (RPCV) to serve as the part-time Campus Peace Corps Recruiter (20 hours/week). Recruiter will be main point of contact at VT and other universities in Southwest Virginia for students and others interested in joining the Peace Corps. Subject to the availability of funding, position will begin Fall Semester 2019 and run through Spring Semester 2020. Successful candidate will receive grad school tuition remission and a stipend equivalent to a graduate assistantship in his/her department. The Blacksburg Farmers Market is open from 8 AM-2PM on Saturdays and 12PM-6PM on Wednesdays. They rely on volunteer participation to help staff their information table and need volunteers! 11. PARTICIPANTS NEEDED IN A SOUND LOCALIZATION LEARNING STUDY – 2nd posting
Study In a sound localization learning study for military-relevant sounds. Must be18-45 years old and have no prior experience with sound localization studies. Must pass a hearing test in the VT Auditory
Systems Laboratory. Participants will be required to perform sound localization tasks of military-type sounds in a lab setting and in a field setting (about 45 minutes away from VT campus). Approx.6-9 hours total spread over two to five days. Compensation is $10/hour for all time spent and $30 bonus for completion of all experimental sessions.
