2. VT CHALLENGE COURSE INTEREST SURVEY – 2nd posting
The Venture Out Challenge Course, a part of Recreational Sports, is a state-of-the-art high ropes challenge course that opened in Fall 2018. The course is located behind the Marching Virginian Practice Field and the Sport Clubs fields and can be seen from the Huckleberry Trail. The cost is $20 per VT student; $25 for faculty/staff; and $35 for non-VT participants. We are conducting a survey to assess potential interest by graduate students in participating in this activity.  Please complete this survey at https://virginiatech.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_3pUvyQof07GGScB  to let us know what days and times would be best for you. We are looking to plan this activity sometime during the second half of July. If you have any questions, please email us by replying to this listserv posting.

3. SUMMER HAIKU CHALLENGE-2nd posting
We are taking NPR’s summer haiku challenge and making it our own! Think of what summer is like for you as a graduate student, and share it in just three lines, haiku style:
5 syllables in the first line; 7 syllables in the second line; 5 syllables in the third line. The best entry or entries (as determined by your devoted graduate student services staff) will receive a prize. Post your haiku on the GLC facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/VirginiaTechGLC/, or email it to grads@vt.edu with “Summer haiku” in the subject line.
