If you are graduating in the near future and having to start repaying students loans is looming around the corner, this info session might be just what you need! Financial Aid staff will walk you through the repayment planning process and discuss all the things you need to know! After the info session they will offer one-on-one advising in the GLC on Wednesday and Thursday 8:30-12 and Friday 1-5.

This weekly gathering is for grad students who want to keep accountable to a regular work time and need a guaranteed quiet place to work. Meet each Thursday just a few blocks off campus at 107 Church Street – 2nd floor of the State Farm office (entrance on Church Street). Free coffee and wi-fi, plus multiple spots to sit and study alone or in groups. Stop in any time during study hours. Limited parking available. 10. GRAD-UGRAD MENTORING PROGRAM SEEKING MENTORS – 1st posting
The Graduate–Undergraduate Mentorship Program (GUMP) is seeking mentors from all fields! This program allows graduate students to mentor undergraduate students considering graduate school. Undergraduates and graduates are matched according to their area of study, allowing the undergraduate to get a taste for graduate school and to ask questions of current graduate students. Each mentor is matched with 1–2 mentees, who will shadow/meet with them at times convenient for the graduate mentor during the Spring semester. Mentoring can help build leadership skills and provide an experience to discuss with future employers. GUMP is sponsored by the Graduate Student Assembly(GSA). The 32nd Annual Graduate Student Assembly (GSA) Research Symposium and Exposition will take place on March 23, 2016 in the Graduate Life Center. The Discovery Analytics Center of the VT Department of Computer Science in Arlington is looking to fill 3 wage positions for News Analysts. This is a 20-hrs/week, online, work from home position paying $20/hr. Office of International Research, Education, and Development (OIRED) is looking for a graduate student (wage) to work up to 20 hrs/wk on projects and initiatives, including providing support to project development and efforts to identify and respond to project funding opportunities. The grad student will contribute to proposal preparation and help with the due diligence and research that goes into responses to funding opportunities.
