Wednesday, Nov 15, 8-9:30pm, Colonial Hall, Squires Student Center
American society is deeply fractured.  Our current moment makes discussion of important social, political, and religious issues difficult and risky.  The temptation to label those with whom we disagree ("extremist", "racist", "unpatriotic", "hateful") makes conversation beyond our differences extremely challenging.  Is there a way to bridge these differences and have conversation across deep disagreement?  Dr. Christian Lundberg (UNC) and Dr. Christian Matheis (VT) will discuss how we can engage important issues with others, even those with whom we strongly disagree.  Grad student Daniel Chen invites you to come to this event ready to be challenged to step out of your comfort zone and engage across differences. Sponsored by the Bradley Study Center and Chi Alpha.
